2008
Custom Profile expands and becomes an international manufacturer. Our facility in Juarez, Mexico opens with two extrusion lines and secondary operations.
2007
With the addition of a 10th extrusion line and 108 employees it becomes necessary to move into a new facility. In September, 2007 we become fully operational on Waldorf Court in Grand Rapids, Custom Profile has grown to 112 employees and has added 3 new extrusion lines, bringing the total to 13.
2002 – 2006
Custom Profile is continuing to grow despite some of the economic issues and many companies laying off. We currently have 82 employees and are continuing to grow and add new positions.
2001
With the construction complete,Custom Profile expands to 85 employees. We have 8 extrusion lines and a Finishing department that runs on all three shifts.
1999 – 2000
We purchased a 2.1 acre parcel of land adjacent to the east side of our building expansion and began construction.
1998
Increasing sales and space constraints necessitated a relocation of our facility, and we began construction of a new building on land that we had purchased at 3110 Wilson Dr., NW, Walker, MI (In the North Wilson Commerce Park). Custom Profile moved into this new location, adding a 4th new extrusion line and employing 25 people.
1997
Due to increased demand, we replaced the existing equipment with three new extrusion lines. Floor space expanded to 20,000 sq ft., and we began operating two shifts of manufacturing. This also increased our employment to a total of 14.
1994
The Company expanded in the 5th floor of the same building, increasing our floor space to 12,000 sq ft. with three (3) extrusion lines, and 5 employees.
1992
Company was founded by Sam G. Nicholas at 316 Ionia SW (4th Floor of the Monitor Machinery Building), Grand Rapids, MI utilizing 3,000 sq ft. of space with one extruder.
