Properties of HDPE vs LDPE

HDPE

LDPE

Advantages of HDPE vs LDPE

HDPE

HDPE has many advantages, including:

Disadvantages of HDPE vs LDPE

Both HDPE and LDPE are susceptible to stress cracking, which means it is common for them to crack when stressed or compressed. LDPE is a low-strength plastic, meaning it cannot withstand heavy use or highly demanding environments. It also has poor UV resistance meaning it may break down when exposed to the sun repeatedly.
