Custom Profile is excited to announce that we’ve been selected to supply components for a major expansion of GE Appliances. As the recent article reports, this is part of GE’s $490 million investment in a new clothes-care plant slated for its Louisville, Kentucky headquarters.
Being chosen underscores confidence in our capabilities as a plastic profile extrusion and sub-assembly manufacturer. Manufacturing extruded profiles and sub-assemblies to meet appliance-grade requirements is no small feat and it means GE trusted us to deliver quality, consistency, and scale.
This contract comes as part of a broader award to multiple U.S.-based vendors: overall, GE awarded manufacturer contracts across ten states (including Michigan) totaling more than $150 million in a major reshoring effort to support washer and washer-dryer production domestically.
For Custom Profile, this win reinforces our commitment to serving the appliance market with top-tier extrusion and assembly work. It also validates the hard work of our team and the investments we’ve made in our tooling, quality systems, and production capacity.
As GE aims to begin production at the new plant in early 2027, we’re doubling down on our commitment to meet expectations. For us, it’s not just about supplying parts, it’s about forging strong, long-term partnerships built on reliability, quality, and shared values around reshoring and investing in U.S. manufacturing capacity across all markets served.
